Creative Journaling can help us connect visually to our thoughts and feelings. It can help us organise and make sense of our emotions, simplify our thoughts and communicate visually to others when words fail us.
If we get overloaded and issues arise, it can be good to journal. By leaving these issues on the page we can potentially free ourselves from them, and lessen the load in our heads.
Our journals can be a place to play, be curious and experiment in a non-judgemental way. We can say what we need to say through images and words, using all manner of
materials such as paints, pens, stitching and collage..anything goes!
Creative Journaling helps us to tap into our innate creativity which might otherwise be hard to reach. It is a safe place to connect with ourselves, and a simple tool that we can take anywhere to help support our health and wellbeing.
